re Son (Caroline) services Saturday services for Mrs. N. (Caroline M. Meyseaburg) Reisdorff, 70, of David City, were conducted Saturday morning, Nov. 15, from St.

Mary's Catholic Church, David City. Mrs. Reisdorff died Nov. 12 at the Butler County Hospital following a four mouth illness. Magr, A.

Carl Neubel, 91, services conducted Tuesday afternoon Services for a lifetime Rising City area resident, Carl A. Neubel, 91, were conducted Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 18, from David City Memorial Chapel with the Rev.

Daniel Schroeder officiating. Mr. Neubel died Saturday, Nov. 15, at Columbus Community Hospital where he had been taken after falling from a ladder at his home. Pallbearers were Perley Dixon, Edgar Dixon, Ronald Dey, Edwin Keiser, LaVern Schroeder, and Alfred Rathje.

Burial was in the Rising City Cemetery at Rising City. Carl August Neubel, the son of Godfrey and Welhelmina Dietsch Neubel, was born Aug. 12, 1889, near Rising City. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith. His father died after a lengthy illness when Carl was nine years old.

Carl and his two brothers began working for area farmers when they were quite young. He also worked in a Shelby hardware store and in one of the Rising City banks before becoming a fulltime carpenter. Many Rising City homes, area farm homes, and other buildings were built by him. In August, 1939, he began to build the First Lutheran Church in Rising City. When it was 1 finished, he designed and built the chancel furnishings SO it could be dedicated on March 1, 1940.

He married Velura Maud White in 1913. They lived all of their He married life in Rising built City. eventually them a new home. After the death of his wife on May 19, 1904, he began making clocks. He made 50 grandfather clocks which were distributed throughout Nebraska and other states.

Mr. Neubel is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Dixon, and many nephews and nieces. Preceding him in death were two sisters, Wilhelmina Neubel and Berger, and two brothers, Fred and William Neubel. Emil Shalon, 75, services conducted at Schuyler Nov. 10 Funeral services for Emil Shalon of Abie were conducted Monday afternoon, Nov.

10, from Svoboda Funeral Home in Schuyler. Mr. Shalon, 75, died Friday, Nov. 7, at Schuyler Memorial Hospital. Rev.

Carlson officiated at the services. Music was furnished by Mrs. Eugene Dostal. Pallbearers were Marvin Shalon, Ac Ostronic, Milo Krivanek, LaVerne Krivanek, Carroll Krivanek and Joe Krepcik. Honorary pallbearers were Emil Krenk, Irvin Marushak, Gene Siroky, Lloyd Hajek, Ernest Kucera and Frank Yonda.

Burial was in Abie National Cemetery. Emil Shalon, the son of James and Mary Kavan Shalon, was born April 19, 1905, at Linwood. He attended school at Nimburg. On March 12, 1932, he was united in marriage to Stazie Krivanek. She died Oct.

29, 1980. He owned and operated a grain elevator in Abie and operated a road maintainer. He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. Lodge, a 40-year member of the Abie Volunteer Fire Department and a 50-year member of the Village Board. His entire life was spent in the Abie and Linwood area.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Victor (Libbie) Hines of Morse Bluff and Mrs. Frances Barta of Omaha, nieces and nephews. His wife and one brother preceded him in death. Read and use Banner-Press Want Ads.

at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo with Rev. John W. Kelly officiating and Magr. Jerry Hardy, Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Atlanta, assisting.

Music war by the church choir and Mrs. Ernest Cajka, organist. Mr. Docekal died Nov. 6 at the Saunders County Community Hospital following an operation.

Pallbearers were Frank, Joseph and George Jonas, Edward Sabatka, Frank Jirovsky and Edwin Swartz. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery at Wahoo. The Tams-Witmark musical production of "Briga" doon, a mystical village which exists only one day each century, will be presented Friday, Saturday and Sunday by the Aquinas Fine Arts Department. The story opens with two New Yorkers, Tommy Albright (Todd Buresh) and Jeff Douglas (Rick Docekal) lost in the Highlands of Scotland.

The Highland veil lifts to reveal to them the village with its people, bedecked in 18th-century clothing, gathered in the square to sell their wares and to discuss the preparations for the wedding of Jeannie McClaren (Deb Terrell) and ad Charlie Dalrymple (Mark Gall). The wedding is threatened by Jeannie's rejected suitor, Harry Beaton (Ed Warholoski). Tommy encounters Jeannie's sister while Jeff gets entangled with the maid. Jeannie's sister Fiona is played by Mary Kay Peters while the maid, Meg Brockie, is played by Kathleen Fox. Tommy is faced with having to decide whether to stay forever in Brigadoon with the girl he has fallen in love with Page 22 and Mary Docekal.

He was a retired agent telegrapher for the Chicago-Northwestern Railway, and 65 year member of ZCBJ Lodge, Havlicek Borovsky of Able. Survivors include his wife, Mary (Jirovsky) Docekal of Wahoo; son, Sam of Atlanta, a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Joan) Sabatka of Weston; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ben Docekal of Brainard; two stepbrothers, Frank and Ed Faytinger; and four stepsisters, Mrs. Josephine Bicak, Mrs.

Tony Hansen, Mrs. Anna Kavan and Mrs. J. D. (Emma) Hasik.

Playing the townsfolks are Lori Armstrong, Kathy Buck, Mary Danaher, Lisa DeWispelare, Roxanne Dart, Beth Fiala, Geannine Hladky, Barb Humlicek, Erin Kosch, Brenda Kush, Jene' Mick, Diane Pflum, Jackie Romshek, Mary Stastny, Mike Terrell, Monica Timoney, Jackie Tvrdy, Patty Vanis and Renee Zegers.

The musicians are Teri Koza, Paulette Zegers and Sue Homan. Musical director is Dennis Coleman. The presentation is directed by Jill Beran with Alice Hain as assistant director. Curtain time for the performances is 8 p.m. a Top: The townsfolk of Brigadoon.
