Svoboda Kevin Brent Hascall led a group of City wrestlers at the University Missouri wrestling camp held 26-July 1 with his 541 dual record the takedown championship 115-118 pound division Other local wrestlers attending camp were Gerald Frahm Egr Brian Scribner Jess Jack Potter Robert Toy Allen and Brian Stara Their records in duals were follows: Frahm 1-4 Egr Scribner 3-1-1 Robins 2-2-1 1-2-1 Toy 2-3 Allen 3-2 Stara In takedowns Egr finished the 96-106 class Scribner was in the 131-135 class Robins was in the 96-106 class Toy was the 128-130 class and Stara second in the 158-162 class Two night Most of the drivers who collided with the fence did so in the fourth turn in front of the grandstand All of them were able to resume racing following their crashes Tom Zitek in the outlaw heat race Billy Swearingen in the junior fourcycle A feature Alan Williams in the heavy feature and John Riha in the adult modified Briggs A feature were the drivers having trouble with the fence Riha flipped his kart and went straight up against the fence Scott Janicek had a busy night racing in three different classes He placed first in the A features and won the trophy dash in both the junior consolation race Tom Svoboda a veteran driver was the winner of the A feature and the first heat race In the street class Norbert Drueppel was the A feature winner Mike Chapin won the first heat race bullfrog season begins July 15 and will continue through October 31 People wanting to enjoy a tasty meal of frog legs must take their bullfrogs by hand hand net or hook and line Only frogs measuring 4 inches from snout to vent or larger tnay be taken Smaller frogs must be released Artificial light may be used when taking frogs Froggers must have a current Nebraska fishing license and they may take and have in possession eight bullfrogs per person When transporting frogs only the entrails may be removed Bullfrogs are most usually found along the shoreline in or near areas of emergent vegetation Most froggers prefer to hunt them at night from a canoe and take them by hand Frog legs provide excellent eating when rolled in an egg batter and cracker crumbs then deep-fat fried invitational secured hy calling Par IV Physical exams for DCHS athletes scheduled Students of David City High School who plan to participate in athletics during (he 1983-84 school year in grades 7-12 should plan to have their physicals taken before school starts says athletic director Ted Koehn DCHS will pay for1 all physicals taken on the scheduled days at the Butler County Clinic or at Dr Jack office Koehn said Each student should call Dr office to make an appointment the middle of July The scheduled dates for examination at the Butler County Clinic are Monday July 18 at 7:30 pm for boys and Tuesday
