Ken Davidson officiating. Burial was at Maple Grove Cemetery at Cedar Bluffs with military honors by the Fremont Honor Guard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854 and American Legion Post 20. Mr. Schere was born Oct. 25, 1924, at Cedar Bluffs to George and Verena (Rexroth) Schere.

He graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Navy from December 1943 to November 1946 during World War II in the AsiaticPacific Theatre. He earned the Philippine Liberation Medal, World War II Victory Medal and Presidential Unit Citation. After his discharge, returned to Cedar Bluffs.

He married Betty Roump Dec. 21, 1947, in Bluffs. They later divorced. He married Yvonne Hardy Sept. 13, 1975, in Cedar Bluffs.

He worked in construction and at Hormel's in Fremont for 36 years. He moved to Fremont in 1974. He WAS a member of Eugene Fujan WAHOO Eugene Fujan, 60, of Wahoo, formerly of rural Weston, died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at his home. Services were held Saturday, Nov.

15, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Wahoo with Father Rudy Oborny officiating. Burial was at Sunrise Cemetery at Wahoo. Mr. Fujan was born Aug.

16, 1943, in rural Weston to James and Helen (Frohner) Fujan. He attended District 68 School in rural Saunders County and East Butler High School in Brainard. He was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 12. He married Beverly Duffek Mach Feb. 22, 1996, in Las Vegas.

He farmed and was part time at Metromail in Lincoln. He was also employed as an escort driver for George Niemann of Dwight, while moving trailers, Soil Conservation Service in Saunders County, Great American Appetizers in Wahoo and for the last five years was a supply clerk at Swift and Co. in Omaha. Survivors include his wife; stepsons, Jim Mach of Omaha, Brian Mach of Wahoo and Dan Mach of Prague; stepdaughters and spouse, Sara Mach, Lori Mach and Tracey and Tim Gatewood, all of Wahoo; three stepgrandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Mildred Fujan and Jim and Margaret Fujan, all of Wahoo; and sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Leonard Stepanek of Schuyler. He, was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements were made by Moser Memorial Chapel. William Svoboda pital in Omaha. Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Bruno with Father James Cooper officiating.

Burial was at the parish cemetery with military honors by Rejda Legion Post 273 of Brainard. Mr. Svoboda was born Aug. 20, 1921, at Appleton to John B. and Mary (Samek) Svoboda.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Eleanor Navratil April 9, 1958, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was a farmer.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 1717 in David City and Rejda Legion Post 273. He enjoyed reading. Survivors include his wife; daughter and son-inlaw, Deb and Arnold Heyen of Ceresco; four grandchildren; and sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Dolezal of David City and Georgia and Irvin A. Cidlik Sr.

of Dwight. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jim, John, Joe and Adolph Svoboda; and sister, Emma Stara. Memorials may be given to the Bruno Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements were made by Knott Funer- William G. Svoboda, 82, of Bruno died Sunday, Nov.

Services were held Thursday, Nov. 6, at St. James Catholic Church in Omaha with the Rev. Mike Grewe officiating. Burial was at Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors.

Mr. Sedlak was born May 4, 1932, at Brainard to Louis and Veronica Sedlak. He graduated from Brainard High School. He served in the U.S. Army, based in Alaska.

He attended school in Omaha and was a instructor before he became employed with the F.A.A. (Federal Aviation Agency). He resided in the Chicago and Omaha areas during his 30 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing, sports and country western and polka music. Survivors include his mother of St.

Joseph's Villa in David City; his wife, DeLores H. Sedlak; daughters. and sons-in-law, Denise Spahr of Phoenix, Cindi and Joe Alberico, Kim and Dick Champion, Nancy Young, Carol Durant and Rebecca Sedlak, all of Omaha; sons and daughterin-law, Leon Sedlak Jr. and Bob and Cindy Sedlak, all of Omaha; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father; and brother, Richard Sedlak.

Memorials may be given to St. James Catholic Church. Lawrence Wemhoff HUMPHREY Lawrence J. Wemhoff, 86, of Columbus died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus.

Services were held Thursday, Nov. 20, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Humphrey, with Father James M. Buckley officiating. Burial was at the parish cemetery.

Mr. Wemhoff was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Humphrey to Philip and Anna (Kopetzky) Wemhoff. He attended St. Mary's School in rural Humphrey.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from Sept. 24, 1942, at Fort Crook to Dec. 11, 1945, at Fort Logan, Colo. He was a private first class with the 235th Engineers, serving overseas in the African Theater, European Theater and Pacific Theater, with major campaigns in Italy.

Burial was at the Shelby Cemetery with military honors by Shelby American Legion Post 296. Mr. Logan was born June 16, 1934, at Shelby to Wallace and Alta (Treadway) Logan. He graduated from Shelby High School in 1954. He served in the U.S.

Army from 1955-57. He married Helen Rosenthal on Aug. 10, 1963, at Clintonville, Wis. He was a farmer and lived near Shelby. He was a member of St.

Peter's Lutheran Church, where he was an elder, and Shelby American Legion Post 296. Mrs. Speicher was born Oct. 2, 1926, at Bellwood to Frank and Charlotte (Kosch) Zimmer. She attended Butler County Rural District 13 School. She married Joseph N.

Speicher April 11, 1951, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bellwood. She was a homemaker and assisted in her daughter's business, Quality Catering of David City. She was a member of the church and PCCW. She enjoyed feeding birds and cooking.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Suzanne Speicher of David City; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Sweney of David City; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers and sistersin-law, Duane and Delores Zimmer of Wheaton, and Carol and Geraldine Zimmer of Bellwood. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso, with the Rev. Thomas Kuffel officiating. Burial was at St. Vitus Cemetery at Touhy. Mrs.

Rezac was born Oct. 29, 1914, at Dwight to Anton and (Polacek) Kouma. She attended elementary school in rural Butler County. She married Stanley Rezac April 26, 1932, at Dwight. They lived on a farm in the Loma and Touhy area until moving into Valparaiso in 1989.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sts. Mary "and Joseph Catholic Church and Altar Society. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Valerian and Jan Rezac of Valparaiso; daughters and sons-in-law, Marlene and Leonard Benes of Valparaiso and Geraldine and Gerald Schnert of Dorchester; 16 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on June 22, 2001; brothers, John, Anton and Jim Kouma; and sister, Ann Cermak.
